Out with the old and in with the new!
We've been organizing, cleaning out and making room for new items. Our good friends the Mueller's are moving back to Germany and they are donating a whole lot of furniture for international students coming to SMU. Our Chi Alpha group couldn't be more happy. We're so thankful for their generosity and I can't say how much we all appreciate their examples of a giving spirit. However, the Mueller's leave at the end of the month and new students don't arrive until August. What to do? Have a garage sale and make room to store furniture!
Monthiversary
On our 14 month mark we thought we'd have a nice dinner. But where? Home of course! But. when you've gotten rid of furniture you have to be creative. Why not picnic on the floor? It sounded nice, but the truth is we ended up eating in the living room! :)

A day at the zoo!
There's nothing like spending a day at the Fort Worth Zoo. We love the grounds and all the shade it provides. It was the perfect place for Kelly to practice photography. Here's some of our favorites shots he took.

In other news...While springtime does mean a lot of people are venturing out, sometimes you have to venture to the TV to catch up on all the springtime sports and events too. Kelly has been juggling the season of hockey, baseball and now the upcoming NBA playoffs! His schooling is coming to an end and he was glad to find out this week that he can exit one of his classes early since he aced the last exam. Here was his breakfast shot after one of his classes. :)
Laurene also made an extra effort to get to the television at the wee hours of Friday morning just in time to see the Royal Wedding. And of course, it wouldn't have been as fun without the early morning mother-daughter chat to compare notes. While Kelly is about to put away his books, Laurene is pulling out hers as she's started studying for the Microsoft Office Specialist certification in SharePoint 2010.
Finally, it wouldn't seem right if we didn't mention our dogs! Yes, we love them!! What was Coco's big adventure for the month of April? She jumped our 6 foot fence to chase a squirrel! We were sure glad we didn't lose her. :) While Coco remains active, Bullet has done his fair share of lazing around. But, that's not all the time...We were quite surprised that he recently hiked 5 miles with us and didn't stop at all!Okay folks, that's all for this time! Stay in touch!
